It’s official! As of Wednesday, Market Street in Coppell is open for business. I’ve been envious of McKinney and Allen residents who have easy access to this grocery chain which combines gourmets and organics with more basic grocery items as well as home needs (toothpaste, laundry detergent). Now there’s one near my ‘hood!
On a different note, my laptop has completely died after a month or so of technical struggles. Apologies for the lack of posting, hopefully I can recover everything off of the hard drive and get back into the swing of things in a week or so.
good to hear from you again. But don’t get too excited about Market St. It’s a step above Kroger or Tom Thumb but that’s about it.
But, Luniz that’s the beauty of Market St. It has all the upscale items without the pretentiousness of a Central Market.
Glad to have you back! I was beginning to worry 🙂
“all the upscale items…”
…oh. I get it. Sarcasm. Silly me.
I stopped by today. Wasn’t that impressed. There’s more ready made foods than a regular Kroger but it’s nothing like a Central Market.
Yea it really doesn’t have all the upscale items (no good cream or butter for instance) and it also doesn’t not have any of the pretentiousness of CM. I mean at least CM has mostly earned their pretentiousness.
i’m with adkim. i think market street has a great selection and is not a rip-off. CM charges $8.99/lb for the exact same rhubarb kroger/tom thumb sells for $2.99. robbery!
luniz, do you even EAT butter
of course TG, better butter than margarine. Fat’s not bad for you, that’s a misconception that too many people have. As long as it’s not highly processed it’s probably good eats. That baklava I made takes about 2.5 sticks. I admit the half stick leftover does last for quite a while though 🙂
