A Taste of Autumn

6 Nov

At Saturday Night in the City, a new monthly event held at the Nasher Sculpture Center, I tried out the new Cafe Nasher, a Wolfgang Puck catered establishment.  The theme of the chef’s tasting station this week was Thanksgiving, a spread complete with turkey and all the trimmings.  While all the items were good, one item that particularly stood out was the roasted butternut squash soup.  Creamy, smooth, with just a hint of cinnamon/nutmeg, the soup was a perfect reminder of why we love the foods of autumn.  Hey Wolfgang, you should really consider making this one of your canned soup varieties!
