Blue Canyon Kitchen, Tavern, and Wine Bar Grand Opening January 23, 2008
Chef Brandt Evans’ fourth location of Blue Canyon Kitchen, Tavern, and Wine Bar will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, January 29 on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard (2101 Summer Lee Dr, Rockwall) for dinner.
“Blue Canyon will not only be a place to enjoy comfort food with a kick, but will also become a special lakeside destination,” said Evans. “We can’t wait to serve our guests in our exclusive rotunda wine bar with killer sunsets or inside our lodge-inspired restaurant to enjoy one of my signature dishes like Tasmanian salmon with a root beer chive glaze sauce.”

Before the public grand opening, a VIP Kitchen Preview will be hosted to benefit Rockwall County Helping Hands on Monday, January 28 from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Cost is $35/person for the charity event.
Donna, looks like you got the same press release that I received this morning. The Rock Star and I are still considering whether to adjust our schedules and arrange a private tasting or the VIP pre-bash. Any plans for you yet, my dear???
I’m all booked up for Monday so sadly I won’t be available for the festivities.
Regretfully, we won’t see your shiny, bright faces at the shindig, but private tastings are coming your way. Journalists, get your steno pads and taste buds ready.
Donna, I went last nite and the food and view were fabulous. Chef Brandt is also very genial; he says his goal is to get on Iron Chef one day. I think he just might do it! If you have reservations, get there early, as The Harbor is so popular that you might have to hike a bit to get to and from your car. I’ll have a review on my blog in a day or so after my mind gets back from wandering around with the little animals.
